Pray for our Missionaries

For the week starting on Sunday, May 24, 2009, please pray for:
Church
As Paul and Sandy continue to face the difficult questions that loom over Casa
Yada’s future, they can readily identify with a couple who have birthed a long
awaited child, only to see several years later the life of the dear one slipping away.
Casa Yada was a dream in Paul and Sandy’s hearts for many years, and though it
meant a sacrifice to uproot once again, they both felt they had found the strategic
ministry they were tailored to do over their remaining years. Now they are unsure.
What is clear is that without God’s supernatural intervention, Casa Yada will have
finished its part in world missions.
Paul and Sandy continue to bring these needs to God, as well as actively
knocking on every possible door to find qualified leadership, but heaven has been
silent. In the midst of this, the Shattucks are ministering in the local Dominican
community, especially in discipling couples, study groups, and an evangelistic Bible
study outreach to neighbors.

| M & M Amazon trip July 18, 2009 - Coming Up |
In July 2009 we will participate in another mission
trip to the Amazon, through Amazon Outreach.
We are excited to see what our Lord will do again
in our midst among the River People. It is our
desire to see people from our church on one of
these Amazon Mission Trip. The blessings of
being there ministering is without measure!!

David and Flo thank the Lord for the new president of Trans World Radio, Lauren
Libby, who came from The Navigators. They are pleased to submit to his effective
leadership. “With the current economic crisis in the U. S. and around the world
deepening, it is an immensely challenging year for us all, but TWR is committed to
trusting Him and to following His command to tell the good news to everyone.”
The Carlsons thank God that major eye issues were dealt with successfully during
the past months. For Flo it was macular degeneration, and for David it was
cataract surgery. Flo’s situation came upon her within the last year. David had a
cataract removed 10 years ago.
